Our Story in Fort Worth:
At 1st Choice Property Management, we believe in the power of community. As a locally owned company, we’re inspired by the values that make Fort Worth special: hard work, hospitality, and growth. With a deep understanding of local neighborhoods and market trends, we deliver property management solutions that reflect our city’s character.
TKF Management, Inc., D.B.A. 1st Choice Property Management was formed in 1993 by Darryl Kazen to manage his family’s 40+ properties. Our family is built of four generations of property management that all started in San Francisco, CA with a four-story apartment building that was owned by Darryl’s grandfather.
After Darryl’s passing in 2015, his son, Rob Kazen has become the Broker/Owner of 1st Choice Property Management. Offering full-service property management to the Fort Worth and surrounding cities in Tarrant County, we take the time to manage and care for your properties just like we do our own. We want you to take the time to do what is important for you and your family. Let us take the stress off your shoulders!
We are affiliated with the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), the National Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors.

We personally own and manage over 40 properties and know the attention to detail each one needs. We have suffered the trial and error of what to do and what not to do. We are happy to be in the position where we are able to pass this experience onto your property!
The Team
The Founder - Darryl Kazen 1946-2015, Broker and founder of 1st Choice Property Management, retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant (MSgt). He started with a group of rental homes of his and his family members. Friends and acquaintances then began asking him to manage their properties. In 2002 he stopped selling real estate and began managing properties full time.
Darryl was a longtime member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers. He held the Master Property Manager designation. Darryl also was a member of the Texas Association of Realtors Property Management Committee. As a professional in the property management business, Darryl constantly strives to keep abreast of the ever changing rental market and the Texas State Property Code to better serve his clientele.

About the Broker
Rob Kazen is the Broker and CEO of 1st Choice Property Management, a Fort Worth–based, family-owned company built on "Boots on the Ground" service and long-term asset protection. Licensed as a Texas Real Estate Agent since 2009 and a Texas Real Estate Broker since 2015, Rob brings deep industry knowledge and operational experience to every property under management.
He is an active member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®) since 2009 and holds both the Residential Management Professional (RMP®) and Master Property Manager (MPM®) designations. Rob is also a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors.
Carrying forward a legacy started by his father, U.S. Air Force veteran Darryl Kazen, Rob leads with a simple philosophy: quality attracts quality. His focus on consistent property standards, ROI-driven maintenance strategies, and accountability helps owners protect their investments and achieve stronger long-term returns.
